Endings and New Beginnings
Life has been hectic the past few days to say the least. Monday night me and my mom got into another fight. We used to be really close but the past year and a half or so has been real tense. Finally she kicked me out and so that is that. I'm kind of sad, but I don't feel as if it's the end of my world. In fact, this is just the beginning of my adult life. For a while I felt as if it was time to move on, but that insecurity that every single one of use has kept me from doing it. I didn't feel ready. Right now I'm living in my neighbors house, and they're some of the nicest, funniest people I've met. I'm still struggling, but deep down I know what God is doing. I guess he knows I'm strong enough (even if I don't feel the same way). I don't want people to feel bad for me either because I know it'll all work out for the good (again, even if it doesn't feel that way right now), and that in the end mine and my mom's relationship will be built back up again. Today in my devotions I was having a rough time and I didn't even feel like getting out of bed, however the verses were on faith, and both of them stood out to me (I'm reading Jesus Calling), but the one that really hit hard was Luke 12:22-31.
22 Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, "That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear.23 For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing.24 Look at the ravens. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!25 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?26 And if worry can't accomplish a little thing like that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things?
27 "Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.28 And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
29 "And don't be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don't worry about such things.30 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs.31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
32 "So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.
33 "Sell your possessions and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven never get old or develop holes. Your treasure will be safe; no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.34 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.
I feel much better tonight and so can't wait for things to get better. :)
Another new beginning, is the fact that I officially got accepted into the college I've been wanting to attend full-time next year. I already have 18 credits from there that I took during highschool, and I can't wait to attend as a freshman!

Updates on Mustang Mare
Well guess what? Lately I've been working somewhat diligently on the classic mustang mare. Her progress has gone well and without too many flaws that I have to correct. She's finally starting to have her grulla color and her dapples have gone on nicely with my new putty eraser. I would love to show your guys pictures, but unfortunately I forgot my camera ( big oops :) (And remember I don't have internet at home anymore, and I'm to stingy with my money to by an actual USB drive, lol)( Parenthesis abuse!!!!)(Ok, I'm done...))))). Ok, so now that my random side-note is finished, I'm hoping that I'll be able to snatch up my camera and post some pictures tomorrow.

Oh, no! The Internet.
Ok, so the title is a little bit exaggerated, lol. Saturday night however, the little antenna thingy for the internet broke, so now, of course, there is no internet. We're hoping to get it replaced, but until then I'm just going to have to stick with the local libraries. I don't really mind though, now that the internet isn't working I'm able to put a little bit more time into my artwork (even if I can't put it up here for you guys to see). The only real inconvenience is that I can't save any more stock on my computer to work on for my photomanipulaitons. That hasn't stopped me though. When the internet was working I saved a TON of stock on my computer to work with, and so now I'll have time to get it done. It's funny how things happen like that isn't it? :)

Some WIP's
Since school is out for the semester I haven't been so busy. Lucky for me that means I can devote more and more time towards my artwork. Here are some pictures of the stuff I've started but are not yet finished. Any constructive criticism is welcome. Thanks!
Gone With the Wind. Watercolor and watercolor pencil.
Roan Sabino paint horse mare. Pastels, acrylic, and pencil
Tulips. Photographed in the front yard with my camera and edited on PSe9.
Mustang Mare. Primed today and ready to paint. This will be painted grulla and sold on ebay when finished.
Reflections: Past Memories (finished). Photomanipulated with Gimp 2.6, PSe9, and my artist tablet.

First Post
Hello all, this is me, Hoofbeats. I am a student artist working towards a double major in both art and equestrian studies. Though I'm still considered a senior in high-school (until the end of this month), I have 18 credits towards my college degree.
Overall I'm fascinated by anything equine, art, or music, and I love playing around with different techniques and mediums. Some of my favorites are model horse customization with pastels and acrylics, oil painting, and digitally photo-manipulating with my artist tablet. On this blog I plan on sharing my artwork (and occasionally my methods) as well as any upcoming sells items. If you have any questions of comments please feel free to let me know. :)
